By choosing to go organic, you are promoting a safer, healthier, stronger lawn as well as preserving the environment. Going chemical free keeps the beneficial organisms where the belong in the soil, and keeps our pollinators alive. Promote a safer environment for pets and children to play. Our organic program uses all natural, chemical free solutions to any landscape problem that may arise.
Our Organic Program is a year round program that starts off with a soil test. The results of the soil test will tell us what your lawn really needs to grow to its fullest potential. We seed in the spring to fill in bare spots before weeds can germinate and take over. If the soil is low on organic matter we apply a thin layer of high quality compost. Mowing high throughout the year at a minimum if 3 inches reduces the amount of sunlight that can reach the soil which helps keep weeds from coming up. Organic fertilizer and soil amendments are applied as indicated by the soil test. In early summer we apply compost tea to improve soil conditions and biology. In late August we begin aerating and slice seeding to reduce soil compaction and thicken the lawn. As Fall arrives, we apply lime if indicated by the soil test and start mulching the leaves. This shreds them into tiny pieces and returns them to the soil adding nutrients and organic matter.
